In the new issue of the journal "Forschung und Lehre" (Research and Teaching), Prof. Dr. Margreth Lünenborg writes about the paradoxical interplay between closeness and distance in the mediatized communication of online teaching.
Drawing on her background as a communication studies scholar, she describes her impressions and combines them with affect-theoretical perspectives on materiality and corporeality, supplemented by positive as well as negative effects. In doing so, she argues for the potential of incorporating social media such as Twitter into scholarly communication and teaching.
