The Journal of Southeast Asian Studies (Vol. 13, No. 1) has published a special issue edited by Liam C. Kelley, Catherine Earl, and Jamie Gillen, titled "Collective Care in Three Vietnamese Contexts: The Intersection of Health, Community, and the State". This issue includes the article "Vietnamese Carescapes in the Making: Looking at Covid-19 Care Responses in Berlin through the Affective Lens of Face Masks" by Team D03, which examines the collective care actions taken by the Vietnamese community in Berlin during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly through the production and distribution of face masks. The article discusses the affective dimensions of these care practices and illustrates how community spirit and solidarity are mobilized during times of crisis.
