Kristina Mashimi ist Postdoktorandin am Sonderforschungsbereich 1171 „Affective Societies“ der Freien Universität Berlin. In ihrer Forschung beschäftigt sie sich mit den vielfältigen Verflechtungen von Religion, Bildung, Kolonialismus und globalem Kapitalismus. Derzeit setzt sie sich mit dekolonialen Perspektiven von Aktivistinnen und Künstlerinnen auf Kulturgüter und soziale Transformation in Tansania und darüber hinaus auseinander.
