Rainer Mühlhoff is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Excellence Cluster "Science of Intelligence" at Technical University Berlin. He is also an associate fellow at the Collaborative Research Center SFB 1171 "Affective Societies" at Freien Universität Berlin.
HIs work focuses on social philosophy, political philosophy of affect, philosophy of technology. Current topics are politics and ethics of artificial intelligence and Big Data. In his project on Critical Social Theory of the Digital Society he investigate the interplay of technology, affect and power. As part of the SFB project B05, he investigates into an affect theory of new authoritarianism.
