Edda Willamowski was successfully awarded her Ph.D. with a psychological-anthropological thesis on forms of ruptured belonging, silence, and embodied/emplaced memories in the context of forced migration and aging. In her long-term, critically engaged, and ethnographically sound study, she explores how long-term consequences of war and displacement permeate social togetherness in post migrant societies.
