Am 14. August 2018 hielt Jonas Bens einen Vortrag auf der 15. Tagung der European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA), die vom 13. bis zum 15. Juni unter dem Titel "Staying, Moving, Settling" in Stockholm stattfand.

Im seinem Vortrag "The Affect of Objectivity: On the Atmosphere of International Criminal Court Proceedings", der Teil des Panels "The Anthropology of Emotions and Law [LAW NET]" war, beschreibt er den Gerichtssaal als einen Apparat, der spezifische affektive und emotionale Dynamiken - eine spezifische Gerichtssaal-Atmosphäre - produziert.
